About WORDONOMICS
WORDONOMICS is an online word game. This policy explains how information is used when you play or choose to use account features.
Optional Google sign-in
Signing in is optional. If you choose Sign in with Google, WORDONOMICS uses Google OAuth through Supabase Auth. WORDONOMICS may receive basic identity information Google provides for authentication, including your Google account identifier, email address, and basic profile or name information.
This information is used only to authenticate you and operate account features, including account identity, your display name, synced game History and results, friends, and leaderboard preferences.
WORDONOMICS does not request access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Contacts, or Google Calendar. It does not request access to other Google services beyond basic sign-in identity.
Gameplay data
WORDONOMICS may store gameplay and result information such as game mode, word or round identity, whether a round was solved or missed, budget remaining, completion time and active duration, wrong-guess counts, purchased letters or reveals, and Daily or Unlimited round metadata.
This information supports History, game statistics, leaderboards, friends features, difficulty analysis, and improvements to the game. Your browser also stores local game progress, preferences, and History; signing in enables account-backed features and optional History syncing.
Limited anonymous analytics
WORDONOMICS collects limited gameplay analytics for both signed-in and signed-out play. These may use randomly generated browser or session identifiers and round-level gameplay information.
Analytics are not sent with your email address. Wrong full-word guess text is not stored in remote analytics. WORDONOMICS does not use advertising fingerprinting.
Community and friend visibility
Signed-in users may appear on the Community leaderboard by default using their display name and aggregate gameplay statistics. You can turn Community participation off at any time in Account.
Accepted friends may see one another’s Friends leaderboard statistics independently of Community participation. Email addresses and Google account IDs are not displayed publicly.
Service providers
WORDONOMICS uses service providers including Google for optional Google authentication, Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, and Netlify for website hosting. These providers are separate from WORDONOMICS and operate under their own policies.
No sale to advertisers
WORDONOMICS does not sell users’ personal information to advertisers.
Security and retention
Reasonable measures are used to protect account and game data, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Account and gameplay records may be retained to operate the features described above. This policy does not promise a fixed retention period.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated as WORDONOMICS evolves. The effective date displayed on this page will be updated when the policy changes.
